Grothe Goes 5-5 for 70 Yds, White Edges Green 6-3

Matt Grothe went a perfect 5 for 5 including a game-opening 47 yard strike to Andrew Ketchel as the White team edged the Green team by a 6-3 score at the 2008 USF Spring Football Game.

Grothe played three series, then watched the remainder of the game from the bench as a precaution against injury. The White team, with two field goals from Justin Teachey, downed the Green team, who managed only a single Delbert Alvarado 48 yard kick. The Bulls now take a break until the Fall semester, where they'll take on 1-AA Tennessee Martin in the season opener.
